The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) has announced its 2023 Under 16 representative boys and girls squads which are set to take on the Riddell District Football and Netball League (RDFNL) and the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League (MPJFL) in a series of showcase matches over the next week.
The boys squad consists of 24 players, whilst the girls squad is made up of 25, with both squads featuring players from 15 different YJFL clubs showcasing the diverse spread of talent within the league.

The U16 Yarra Magpies program will kick off with the U16 girls playing in a feature match against the RDFNL at Ford Park on Sunday 2 July commencing at 11:30am.
Sunday 2 July
11:30am – U16 Girls – YJFL vs RDFNL
The program will continue on Wednesday 5 July with both the boys and the girls squads playing back-to-back matches against the MPJFL at Ford Park.
Wednesday 5 July
10am – U16 Girls – YJFL vs MPJFL
12pm – U16 Boys – YJFL vs MPJFL
The YJFL extends an invitation to all players, parents, friends, team members, coaches, and football enthusiasts to join us at these matches for a great day of footy. The level of football on display will be high, and the canteen will be open on the day serving hot food and coffees.
For those that can’t make it, the YJFL is pleased to announce that the MPJFL matches will be live streamed courtesy of the league's digital partner, GameFace. The live stream will be available to viewers through the YJFL's official Facebook page or via our Match Vision Portal available on our website.
