The Yarra Junior Football League Umpire Department provides umpires for all Yarra Junior Football League matches from Under 11 up to Youth Boys (Under 17.5) and Youth Girls (Under 18).

It also provides boundary umpires and some goal umpires in the older age groups where numbers permit.

Umpire Uniform 2026 Season

It is mandatory that all YJFL umpires have Shirt, Shorts, and Socks. Wrist bands are recommended. Uniforms will be available to purchase from early 2026 via the Umpire Apparel page on this website.

Re-Registrations for Season 2026 - Officials HQ

Officials HQ rollover from season 2025 to season 2026 is now open.

For umpires that are looking to umpiring in season 2026 please re-register ASAP.

You do this by logging into your Officials HQ profile. You will be prompted to re-register, by confirming your details. 

Once completed this we will see you registered for season 2026.

Wanting to join the YJFL umpiring team? The YJFL is seeking new umpires (aged 14 – Mature Age) to officiate matches in 2026.
