YJFL to 'band together' for TAC Road Safety Round

The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) will show its support for road safety this week, donning blue armbands to honour people killed on Victorian roads and show a commitment to reducing road trauma as part of the 2023 TAC Road Safety Round.

The statewide event will run from July 21 - 23, and will take place during Round 11 of YJFL action, with players, coaches, volunteers and supporters all encouraged to wear the blue armband to show their commitment to road safety.

This year, 165 people have been tragically killed on Victorian roads – a 28 per cent increase on the 129 lives lost at this time in 2022.

YJFL clubs are encouraged to get involved by wearing the blue armband and spreading road safety messages throughout your club via social media using the hashtags #playyourrole and #TACbandtogether
