YJFL seeks mature age umpires

Are you passionate about Australian Rules Football? Do you want to be an integral part of the game and make a significant impact? The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) is seeking Mature Age Umpires for the remainder of the 2023 season and beyond!

The YJFL is experiencing a shortage of umpires and we are calling on individuals, both new and experienced, to get involved in umpiring and contribute to the growth of our league. By becoming an umpire, you become an essential part of our football community and help shape the future of our young athletes.

Umpiring comes with a number of benefits that extend beyond the game itself. Firstly, it offers a fantastic way to stay fit and active. Umpiring requires constant movement and sharp decision-making, helping you maintain a healthy lifestyle while being involved in the sport you love. Secondly, umpires are compensated for their time and efforts, providing an opportunity to earn some extra income. Additionally, umpiring allows you to expand your social circle and forge new connections within the football community, fostering friendships and camaraderie among like-minded individuals.

It's important to note that umpiring is not limited to any specific age group. Whether you're a retiree looking to stay active, a working professional seeking a weekend challenge, or a young adult with a passion for the game, umpiring welcomes people of all ages. By becoming an umpire, you can continue to engage with the sport, contribute to its growth, and leave a lasting impact on the young athletes within the YJFL.

If you're ready to embark on this exciting journey as a Mature Age Umpire, we encourage you to take the first step. Visit our website at www.yarrajfl.org.au/umpires for more information and to register your interest.
