Yarra Junior Football League partners with ChildSafe Australia

This multi-year partnership will see the YJFL and ChildSafe develop training and resources to support clubs, coaches, and team volunteers to continue to create safe club environments for children.

ChildSafe Australia is a leading not-for-profit organization that provides advice, support, and training to help organizations create child-safe environments. ChildSafe uses a harm prevention approach and encourages reporting and responding to any concerns or incidents that arise.

As an organization that values the safety and well-being of all its members, the YJFL is committed to ensuring that child safety is a priority within the league. This partnership will help the YJFL to achieve its vision of creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for all children involved in the league.

YJFL CEO Aaron Bailey spoke on the new partnership and reiterated the importance of child safety within the league.

“As a league, we have committed to fostering an environment where we nurture and develop every child that plays in our competition, as footballers and as people.”

“Child safety is the number one priority in our competition, and we are looking forward to working with ChildSafe Australia to ensure that the YJFL is at the forefront of this area and continues to be a safe and welcoming place for all children.”
