AFL Victoria are running an ‘All Female Coaching Introduction to AFL’ course on Wednesday 1st August at Toorak Park. With the enormous growth in female football player participation in the last two years, females coaches are not as strongly represented in football, no doubt there are many female parents and volunteers with the capabilities to become great community coaches and this free course is the ideal first step for those parents and volunteers to take the step from football enthusiast or interested parent into a female super coach at your local club! We encourage all YJFL clubs to promote this course to ensure we continue to develop great female coaches within the region. Please contact your club coaching coordinator for more details.

Thanks to Dynamic Footy Skills who hosted a range of School Holiday Clinics within the YJFL community over the School Holiday period. It was great to see so many younger footballers enjoying their school holidays by developing their skills. We hope you all enjoyed the experience.

Well done to Banyule Junior Brayden Sier who debuted for Collingwood in round 15. Selected by Collingwood with pick 32 in the 2015 national draft, Sier endured a horror run with injuries during his first two seasons at the club, however it was great to see him finally be rewarded with his first AFL match.

We were lucky enough to have this coming Sunday’s 3pm match at Bulleen Park streamed live to Facebook thanks to Complete Sports Management & Hiredepot.
