Prep2Play – Injuries In Women’s Community Football – Research Project

YJFL clubs are invited to be involved in a project being conducted to understand injury rates in senior and junior female footballers, and how to best implement injury prevention strategies.

The large government-funded project is being conducted by the AFL and La Trobe University, alongside multiple industry, and education partners.

The project is recruiting U16/17/18/19 and senior women’s football teams (~150 teams) across 14 leagues in Victoria.

The project aims to understand injury rates, and how to best support teams to implement injury prevention strategies.

This project is a great way for you to provide your team personnel and players with best advice from sports medicine experts, which will hopefully attract and retain players.

The additional benefits and commitments for you, your club and players are outlined in the information sheet below.

If you would like to be involved or find out more, get in contact – 9479 1483 or prep2play@latrobe.edu.au
