OrthoSport Victoria Institute (OsVi) increase commitment to become High Performance Partner of the YJFL

The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) and OrthoSport Victoria Institute (OSVi) are pleased to announce an expanded partnership for the 2026 season and beyond.

OSVi was already the Preferred Provider of Sports Injury Emergency Care and a Preferred Partner in Concussion Assessment, Treatment, and Management for all YJFL players and families.

Under the increased agreement OSVi will become the High Performance Partner of the YJFL, providing comprehensive testing of all representative players in conjunction with Swinburne University. OSVi will also provide personalised strength and conditioning programs for all representative players at a discounted cost, as well as physiotherapy and trainer support at all interleague training sessions and match days.

This partnership also ensures every YJFL player has access to OSVi’s state-of-the-art Sports Injury Emergency Clinic, based in Richmond. Open weekends during the football season, the clinic operates just like a private emergency department, but without the ED wait times. The average wait times are under 10 minutes and no referral is required. Players can be seen immediately by sports-specific doctors, who will assess your injury and decide on the most suitable treatment plan, you will receive bulk billed imaging, and if needed, be fast-tracked to orthopaedic surgeons and rehabilitation services, all under one roof. Special pricing is provided for YJFL athletes, and a portion of the fee claimable on club insurance.

Additionally, OSVi will support YJFL Athletes with:

  • Orthopaedic Surgery

  • Concussion Assessment and baseline testing, diagnosis, and return-to-play support

  • Access to leading strength & conditioning coaches, biomechanical and performance testing, state of the art gym, allied health, sports medicine, and rehab teams.

“We are incredibly proud to be extending our partnership with the YJFL. Our relationship has been built on shared values, development, wellbeing, and creating the best possible environment for young athletes. Expanding this collaboration to include a new High Performance partnership is a natural evolution and aligns perfectly with us. We are committed to supporting YJFL athletes on and off the field, and this initiative allows us to provide even greater expertise, care, and opportunity for future talent. We’re extremely excited about what this next chapter will bring for the league, the clubs, and the young footballers within it” said Lawrence Furlan, CEO of OSVi.

Dominic Milesi, CEO of the YJFL, was also happy to announce the increased commitment from both parties:

“Clearly we were thrilled to partner with OSVi in 2025 to allow all of our players access to their Sports Injury Emergency Clinic. To now be able to increase that partnership to provide support to our representative programs during training, match day and testing is fantastic and will continue to elevate our talent programs to ensure they are giving junior players the best possible pathway.”

This partnership is about raising the bar in community sport, giving junior footballers the professional care and recovery pathways they deserve, and helping them get back on the field safely and sooner.
