New Leadership Team Announced for Yarra Junior Football League



The Yarra Junior Football League is pleased to announce its new leadership team, with Rob Gould taking on the role of President, Sue Ellen Mackintosh elevated to Vice-President, and Vaughan Cleary and Carolyn Falcone appointed as new board members.


Rob, Vaughan, and Carolyn were appointed to the board at the 2022 AGM on December 7 following the departure of former President, Ishbel Moodie, and Vice-President, Craig Lake. Following a board meeting, Rob was announced as President as Sue Ellen was elected as Vice-President.


Rob brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as a coach and administrator in the league for many years at Hawthorn Citizens. Rob has significant experience in the finance industry as a CPA and Financial Adviser and is currently the Director of Financial Planning at McLean Delmo Bentleys. Rob is an avid Richmond supporter and loves spending time with his wife and four children and their families. He is dedicated to growing the sport and ensuring all players in the YJFL have a positive experience.


Vaughan has significant experience with YJFL as both a player and coach. He has coached for over 30 years across all levels and has worked at two AFL clubs. Vaughan is the Senior Deputy Principal at Assumption College Kilmore and has championed the growth of girls football at the college. Vaughan is currently completing a doctorate where his area of focus and expertise is adolescent motivation and engagement.


Carolyn is a corporate lawyer and partner at Cornwalls Melbourne where she has worked for 15 years. Her expertise is in telecommunications, property, and banking and finance. Her greatest passion is her two young girls, and she spends most of her spare time running them around to their various activities.

The board, led by Rob and Sue Ellen will guide the league in its efforts to provide a safe, fun and competitive environment for young footballers to develop their skills and grow their love for the sport.
