The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) is seeking expressions of interest to join the YJFL Independent Tribunal, Conduct Investigation Tribunal, and Appeals Board for the 2024 season.
The Tribunals function is to adjudicate on match day reports of players or other team officials, and act on other complaints that are referred to an investigation process. Panel members are appointed by the League CEO, but are independent of the YJFL Administration and YJFL Board.
Key requirements for the role include:
• Experience in Community Football (Coach, Player, Umpire, Administrator etc.)
• Ability to act impartially and independently
• Knowledge of the Laws of Australian Football and Tribunal Guidelines.
• Availability on weeknights (usually Wednesday and/or Thursday) and ability to attend hearings which are held at the YJFL Offices at Ford Park in Bellfield.
New Tribunal & Investigation panel members will undergo an induction process prior to the commencement of the 2024 season.
These are voluntary positions. Applicants cannot have a current role or connection with a YJFL Club, and must have a Working With Children’s Check.
