On Sunday we celebrated our youngest participants with our Under 8s Day (previously known as Tackers Day). It was a fantastic day by all involved and we hope all the participants had a great experience. Thanks to Dynamic Footy Skills for the support and contribution to the day including having North Melbourne player Luke McDonald present on the day. Congratulations to former Glen Iris player Patrick Kerr who debuted for Carlton on Sunday against Melbourne.
Well done to all the former and current YJFL players who played for Northern Knights in the TAC Cup girls grand final on Saturday. Unfortunately, Northern went down by 11 points but it was a fantastic effort by the girls.
On Monday the 21st May our Metro Junior Championship teams attend Jumper Presentation at Bulleen Park. Scott from Hiredepot was present to give out the uniform to the players, we thank Hiredepot for their support of our Championship teams. The coaches are very excited to have a group of such talented plyers and are ready for the first game on Wednesday the 30th May. Well done to all the Under 14 Boys, Under 15 Girls & Under 15 Boys selected for these teams, we wish you all the best.
We are very excited for our Under 9s Day this Sunday 27th May at Bulleen Park, proudly support by Dynamic Footy Skills. With sixty teams attending the event it is sure to be a busy but enjoyable day. Clubs have been sent out fixtures and map set ups for the day, so please contact your secretary for your team’s fixture. Team Managers will also be given booklets for the parents and each participant will receive a football. Photos will also be available to purchase from the event, thanks to Photography Matters.
