We currently having the following competitions for female only:

Since 2011 the YJFL has hosted many teams from adjoining Leagues as they began to build up their own girls football programs.
In 2016, these hosted clubs successfully transitioned back into their own Leagues as the growth in girls football continued to bloom.
In the inaugural season of the AFLW nine former Youth Girls players were drafted and lived out their dream of playing AFL football.
Colts and Youth Girls Teams of the Year
In the 2019 season the YJFL Teams of the Year played teams from the Oakleigh Chargers in night matches on Wednesday 12 September at Bulleen Park. Although the preparation period for these matches is always short, given they take place ten days after the YJFL Grand Finals, both our teams combined as though they had been together all season and showed their class and skills. The Colts Team of the Year came from four goals behind to end up having a convincing win by four goals, and the Youth Girls Team of the Year had a very comprehensive win. Thanks to Michael Tout from Park Orchards, Coach of the Colts Team of the Year, and Stephen Jackson from Bulleen Templestowe, coach of the Youth Girls Team of the Year for the outstanding job they did in coaching these two teams.
