The Yarra Junior Football League Member Clubs and Board have sworn in a new League President at the 2021 Annual General Meeting. We are pleased to announce that Ishbel Moodie was confirmed to the role during the AGM.
Ishbel was elected the League’s 5th President with Craig Lake elected vice-president.
The YJFL now has four of the seven Board positions held by females. Ishbel becomes the YJFL’s first ever female President, and with the continual growth of girl’s participation this is a significant moment for the League.
At the AGM on 25th November 2021, Suki Styant-Browne was also elected as a Director, after concluding her time as President of the Preston Bullants Junior Football Club.
The YJFL board currently consists of seven members for 2022: Ishbel Moodie, Craig Lake, Paul Lane, Sue Ellen Mackintosh, Maree de Bondt, Andrew Davenport and Suki Styant-Browne.
Ishbel continues her time on the YJFL Board after previously holding the Vice President position. Currently Ishbel is Director of Client Relationships at Thomson Reuters Legal Australia, and is a former junior coach at Fitzroy JFC, where she still has children playing football.
Outgoing President Jeff Hooper finishes his time in the position after four years in the role and a total of 16 years in a voluntary capacity within the League.
