If you happened to be watching Channel 7 News on Sunday night you may have come across a great report about young North Brunswick player Luca Kleeven.
At 3 years of age young Luca was diagnosed with the debilitating Perthes Disease. Just walking was a struggle, let alone trying to keep up with the rest of the kids in the playground.
What an amazing achievement it was then when Luca took the field last Sunday and played his first game of football with the North Brunswick Giants Under 10 Black Division team against the mighty Fitzroy 2 team.
Wearing the Number 5, Luca brought smiles to the faces of all the proud members of the North Brunswick community with none prouder than mum Anna.
We look forward to Luca backing up in the Lightning Premiership at Bulleen Park this Sunday and say “Well done Luca, you truly are a Giant among boys”.
