Player Transfer System

Commencing in 2008 all Player Transfers / Clearances will be completed on line.

Player transfers are initiated by the recipient Club by logging into the Player Registration page, selecting Request a Clearance/Transfer and the following the prompts.

Please note that transfers/clearances must be completed for all players. Players up to and including Under 15's will be transferred automatically. Players aged over 15 require Club and League approval.

The information below describing the previous player transfer system is for historical purposes.

The player transfer system is designed to streamline ‘old' transfer procedures and improve the previous clearance system. The system was introduced as a trial in 2006. The System only applies to players who are under 16 years and 17 years of age as at 1^st  January 2007 (ie Colts players).

A player's transfer from one Club to another can only be refused if the player is indebted to the previous Club or is in possession of Club property (eg jumper) that needs to be returned or the player wishes to withdraw their transfer application.

The previous Club will have six (6) clear business days to respond, once notified of the transfer application. The transfer will occur automatically following the expiry of the six days. There is provision for the previous Club to approve the transfer within the six day period.

Forms to be utilised are attached, as follows:

1. Yarra League - Player Transfer Form. For completion by players wishing to

transfer from one Club to another in Yarra League or transfer from a Club in   another League to the Yarra League

2. Football Victoria (Appendix 2) Player Transfer Refusal Form. To be completed where the previous Club refuses the transfer application and can substantiate that the player owes money to the Club or is in possession of Club property that needs to be returned or where the player wishes to withdraw their transfer application.

3. Football Victoria (Appendix 3) Player Withdrawal of Transfer Form. To be completed when the player wishes to withdraw their Transfer application.

Players who have not attained the age of 15 years as at 1 January 2007 shall be cleared automatically
